We need to be thankful that we get to be in His Word. It gives us life and nourishment. It is what we as Christians live on. Matthew 4:4 declares,” Jesus answered,”It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that come from the mouth of God.” We need to be digging deeper in God’s Word. His Words are so precious to us. Why wouldn’t we want to be reading it every morning and night? It’s alive and living. It speaks to our soul. God’s Word is like a tweeting bird … it talks to our soul. It speak love, goodness, & grace. We need to be like a bird bathing in water every single day so that we can refreshed and renewed. It’s the only thing that is going to keep us going. Psalm 119:11 says,”Thy word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against thee.” We need to have God’s Word hidden in our hearts and minds. When we wake up, the first thing we need to is is read God’s Word. Matthew 24:35 says,” Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” God’s Word will never pass away. It will stand forever and ever. Isaiah 40:8 says,”The grass withers, and the flowers fade, but the Word of the Lord will stand forever.” His Word is abundantly full of wisdom and love. It is the foundation of our lives.
As Christians, our lives are like a compass. People pull us this way and that way, but we need to stay on the path that the Lord is guiding us on. Deuteronomy 5:33 says, “Stay on the path the LORD your God has commanded you to follow. Then you all live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to occupy.” Satan will try to pull us into this dark word, but we need to stand strong against satan. If we have hidden God’s Word in our heart, we will say “no” to our fleshly desires and stay on the Lord’s path. We will never feel fulfilled until we have the Lord hidden in our hearts.
Life is like a book. We need the Lord to write it. We need to follow the Lord and not look to worldly things, but stay focused on Him. We need to be living by His Word. I challenge you to read Gods Word everyday and you will see a change in your life. Psalm 119:103 says,”How sweet are thy words unto my taste. Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth.” His Words are so sweet and they give us life!
“We need to be bathing in His Word every day and night.”
