The Tower of Babel a Biblical Reality with Dr. Rob Carter

September 23-24, 2016 | REGISTER HERE

First Presbyterian Church of Coral Springs and Creation Studies Institute will host a two-day conference. Dr. Robert Carter of Creation Ministries International will speak about the relevance of Biblical creation and its direct impact on how we view race, culture and science. Our congregation, our community, and our nation are becoming more diverse with increasing conflicts among people groups. This weekend’s events are designed to train people in how to have biblical conversations about God’s plan of reconciliation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Spanish translation is available.

Following the conference we will host an interactive hands-on workshop for the entire family at The Creation Discovery Museum. Registration is required. Space is limited.

First Session : The Mystery of Ancient Man & the Days of Noah

The book of Genesis clearly claims that all people descend from the eight people who were on Noah's Ark. Can this possibly be true? What does science have to say? It turns out that science supports the Flood account. For example, it is clear that all people are closely related, to the point where there are hardly any genetic differences between the "races".  It is also true that all people have but one male ancestor (that would be Noah). These and many other facts supporting the Flood narrative will be discussed.

Second Session: The Mystery of Ancient Man & the Tower of Babel

The book of Genesis claims that at one point in early human history there was a single population that became subdivided and separated. We call this the Tower of Babel event, and it has significant scientific implications. If this really happened, there should be evidence that all people came from a small population, that we were separated into small bands, that we moved into uninhabited territory starting in the Middle East, and that all of this happened in the relatively recent past. Would it surprise you to learn that all of this has been discovered? Modern science supports the Tower of Babel account.

Tom DeRosa

Our Executive Director & Founder, Tom DeRosa left the seminary and the church thinking he was throwing away his faith, but in reality, he had only found a new religion: evolution. However, in 1978, he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of his life. Soon after, he studied the area of Creation at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church and has come to the conclusion that a lack of knowledge of the biblical account of creation is greatly responsible for many barriers that keep people from Christ.
