Ice Age Fossil Float Adventure
Next Adventure: April 28-30, 2023 (SOLD OUT)
Uncover the truth about fossils as you dig them up! Experience God’s creation on the beautiful Peace River in Arcadia, Florida. Discover the fossils of gigantic Ice Age Creatures that once roamed the Earth. See how the remains of these animals tell us about the past and make the vital connection of how they are related to the Bible.
What is a Fossil Float?
It is an exciting adventure canoeing and digging for fossils. If you have ever panned for gold you know that the findings are few and far between. However, if you pan for fossils in the Peace River, you strike pay dirt every time!
This area of Florida, rich with phosphates, is known as a Fossil Graveyard. Over the last decade we have taken over 11,000 people, young and old, down the Peace River, where they have learned that there is substantial evidence of a world-wide flood as recorded in the Bible.
How else would you explain the findings of Whale Vertebra, or teeth of the Megalodon shark that would grow as large as 70 feet in length, in a river that is located some 30 miles from the Gulf of Mexico?
The findings of the Wholly Mammoth, Saber-tooth Cat and the Giant Sloth, gives affirmation to the bible reference of a great ice age.
During a CSI sponsored Fossil Float in April of 1996, Greg Reuter discovered a Columbian Mammoth at the Peace River Campground in Arcadia, Florida. Since then, CSI has sponsored special excavations at this site, which appears to be a fossil graveyard for a herd of mammoths that met their demise during the Ice Age. CSI has excavated the mammoth site three times and it is believed they have found a herd of Columbian Mammoths. The partial skeletons of three mammoths are on display at CSI’s Creation Museum in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
What you will learn:
You will learn how to identify fossils, and make the connection to God as the creator. You will also learn to canoe and enjoy each other as you frolic in the cool waters together. We complete our exciting adventure with a BBQ on Saturday evening. Happy faces fill the room as the finds are identified and the prizes are given for the most unique find, the most one-of-a-kind, and the largest and most complete fossils found. Sunday is given to worship. We thank God for His goodness and His beautiful creation with a Sunday morning worship service. Our new found friends receive the ability to refute evolutionary teachings and go on to proclaim God as our Creator.
